Mosor is a mountain in Dalmatian, spanning along the sea, from Klis to Omiš. The name Mosor has several interpretations: from fra. mons d’or = golden mountain, to the Illyrian word mol = hill and sor = source; from the Latin term Massarum
Veliki Kabal is the highest peak of Mosor (1339 m) which offers a view of all of the peacks along its ridge. It is marked by a large cross visible from great distances.
Particularly beautiful is the view of the mid-Dalmatian islands and the view towards Dugopolje in the interior of the country.
